Summer Total Pitcher Training and Velocity Program

The Arizona Pitching Arsenal is partnering with Push Performance for the summer training program at the Arsenal. Now pitchers will receive the best pitcher’s development curriculum along with specific strength and conditioning for pitchers from Push Performance. We train at the AZ Elite Training Baseball Facility. This training program will feature advanced throwing and training techniques used in Div.-1 and Professional baseball. This program is designed specifically to enhance velocity, develop arm health, and teach routines to build deliveries that develop pitcher’s potential.

Ken Knutson and his Arsenal pitching staff will teach the throwing and arm strength strategies. Ken is the current Cleveland Indian throwing programs and rehab throwing coordinator and designs and develops throwing programs for both pitchers and position players. Ken was the ASU Pitching Coach for 5 years 2010-14 and prior to that the Head Coach at the University of Washington for 17 seasons.

Push Performance is owned and directed by DJ Edwards. DJ is a Performance Enhancement Specialist and is United States Weight Lifting certified. He has developed over 20 drafted players in Colorado and 5 in the top 3 rounds. 

Our training will also feature Jim Moran, PT co-founder of Crossover Symmetry, the best arm health system in baseball. 

There are 3 training program for three different pitcher/player populations. 

· The first group would be those pitchers that are recovering from injury or surgery and need a rehab throwing program. 

· The second would be those pitchers that had a big workload last season and they are taking the summer off from competition and are training for next year. 

· The third group would be those pitchers (and players) that need a velocity program.

Pitcher’s will participate in 3 different assessments. Arm health, throwing and delivery, and a physical movement screen. 

Throwers and pitcher’s training is on Mondays (6pm), Wednesdays (5pm) and Fridays (6pm). Strength and conditioning is on Tuesdays (6 pm), Thursdays (6pm) and Saturdays (10 am).

The training is from June through August. We have 3 sessions and we can accommodate all schedules for our summer training participants.
